Their introduction into the practice is notably found in Rev. Laurie Cabot's Witchcraft II: As an Art, a 4-night course, which has now transitioned to an exclusive online format. Within this course, the four dragons are intentionally left unnamed and undescribed, inviting practitioners to engage their imagination while in an "Alpha" or meditative state, and envision these powerful entities as they prepare to cast a majick circle. During this process, witches are encouraged to call upon the cardinal directions, invoking the elemental powers associated with each dragon. For instance, one might declare, "Dragon of the North, Power of Earth, I welcome you to this circle," thereby establishing a connection with the elemental forces at play.

In the context of the Cabot Tradition of Witchcraft, the blazing Red Fire Dragon holds a special place as the second entity to be invoked during spell-casting rituals and special Sabbats. This dynamic dragon is called forth from the East, symbolizing the dawn of new beginnings and the vibrant energy of the rising sun. It is also the second-to-last dragon to be released at the conclusion of the ritual, emphasizing its integral role in the ceremonial process. The Fire Dragon is characterized by its powerful roar, flaming breath, and unwavering confidence, exuding a robust vibration that ignites passions, inspires creativity, and channels dynamic energy into the ritual space. My Fascination with the Fire Dragon

Why am I so captivated by the incredible power of the Fire Dragon, more so than any other magnificent dragon? It all began with a dream—one of the first three dreams I can vividly recall from my early childhood, before I even started Kindergarten at the tender age of 4.5. In this dream, a roaring red dragon, shimmering with a golden sheen on each scale, moved swiftly through a large room. It slithered like a serpent, riding a wave of flames as it passed through hundreds of people, who screamed and scattered in fear. As the dragon drew closer to my dream-self, its glare intensified, and I felt an overwhelming connection. Through the thoughts of the Red Dragon, I received a profound message: I was not meant to be there. "There" was not a true place or time; it was something otherworldly. Just after this realization, I sensed that I would be pushed aside, out of the dream. And indeed, that’s what happened. A wave of fire engulfed my senses, and I instinctively curled into a ball, trying to shield myself. Yet, amidst the chaos, I heard one last message—something deeply meaningful and endearing that eludes my memory. What I do remember clearly is the essence of that message: I need never fear this dragon, for we would meet again.
